Sea Star Children’s Programs
The Sea Star Program’s Grief camps provide a safe and fun environment to share stories and engage in music, art, outdoor activities, and games.
These camps will provide children the opportunity to:
- Identify ways to cope with change
- Improve self-esteem
- Learn to recognize and validate feelings
- Identify safe ways of grief expression
- Recognize that having fun and celebrating are still a part of life
Who camps are for
Eligibility
Most Trustbridge camps are open to children residing in Palm Beach or Broward County ages 8–17 (18 if still in high school) who are grieving the death of a loved one more than 3 months prior to the date of the event.
Cost
There is no cost to your family. Lunch, water, and snacks will be provided throughout the day.

Healing, horses and heartfelt connections. Open to any child or teen aged 8–17 (18 if currently enrolled in high school) residing in Palm Beach or Broward County who has experienced the death of a special person, and to their family members — parents, caretakers and siblings.
Campers will participate in equine therapy, art, music, conversation, grief education and emotional support with grief counselors. Food and drinks will be provided. Parents and caretakers will participate in supportive breakout sessions.
There will be no riding, and all activities are done on the ground. No horse experience is necessary. Closed-toe shoes are required.
There is no cost to your family — this free bereavement event is made possible through the generosity of friends and supporters of Trustbridge Hospice Foundation. Space is limited; applications were due by April 1, 2026.
